Community Events and Activities:
South Simcoe Railway: Who isn’t fascinated by trains and railways?
This historic train is run by the South Simcoe Railway Heritage Corporation. This is a non-profit historical association located in Tottenham and is a must see for people who love trains and history. You can ride the train to check out the fall colours, the haunted Halloween adventure ride, the Easter Bunny Express or ride with Santa. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Earl Rowe Provincial Park:
This 312.4 hectare park has lots to offer from: overnight camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, renting a canoe, watching the salmon spawning at the ‘fish ladder’ in the fall and spring, or participate in the Natural Heritage program that runs from June to September. If you’ve never camped before you can participate in the “Learn to Camp’ program, which is a guided overnight camping experience to learn the basics. A great opportunity for the kids to experience a wilderness sleepover.
Beeton Fall Fair: It’s abut our history! It’s about our community!
2016 marked the 160th year of the Beeton Fall Fair. It starts with a street parade, classic cars, midway rides, and amazing food provided by local vendors. Don’t forget that we are a rural community and so we have various 4H and agricultural competitions. The fair takes place every September and for more information contact: beetonfair.com.
